The Saxons development transformed an old HMRC office in Leicester city centre into luxury accommodation for professionals.
It features 100 one- and two-bedroom apartments with shared amenities including a concierge, workspaces, gym, yoga studio, outdoor social area, secure bike storage and electric vehicle charging points.
The transformation of the existing building required careful engineering and design. Using new materials allowed for seamless integration with the existing structure while elevating the once dull office block into a luxurious apartment building.
The development features extensive areas of glazing to maximise natural light. Solar blinds and control film prevent apartments from overheating, enabling tenants to enjoy ample natural light without discomfort.
Externally, the addition of cladding has given it a more modern look, allowing it to better integrate into the surrounding landscape and connect with the nearby Highcross.
Internally, the building has been completely revamped from its office layout and colour scheme to luxurious apartments and communal areas with vibrant finishes and furniture. The once drab reception area has been turned into a welcoming space for residents and guests.
