An Award made to a developer or owner of a non-residential scheme located within the Leicestershire or Rutland boundaries which was judged by both a panel of experts and the ProCon membership.
Schemes must have achieved practical completion within the 18 months prior to 31st July 2013, and not have been previously submitted for a ProCon Award.
Small Non-Residential is classified as having a contract value in excess £3million.
The University of Leicester’s £5.5m new Cardiovascular Research Centre is a four storey research building at Glenfield General Hospital, an internationally acclaimed centre for cardiac, renal and cancer care.
Hinckley Hub is a new council headquarters building and public sector hub for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Leicestershire County Council and Hinckley Jobcentre Plus.
The University’s new sports facility in Oadby includes a 25 metre swimming pool, spa, large gym, studio and changing facilities. The development links with an existing sports hall and team changing facilities through a new shared reception area.
Non-Residential for the purpose of these Awards includes commerical developments, educational establishments, retail, leisure, industrial and mixed use developments.
The applications were judged by a panel of judges and three finalists decided upon.
The finalists’ entries were then presented to the ProCon membership who cast their votes for the winner.
