The Architectural Image is of the external sensory courtyard for the project which has a western red cedar circular cutout roof which casts elliptical shadows, through which it is possible to see the adjacent cedar roof ‘cones’ which illuminate the specialist Art, DT, Science and Food Technology spaces inside the building.
The use of natural light, big bright open spaces, natural materials, bringing nature deep into the building are fundamental aspects of the project.
